We’ve been hinting for some time about our upcoming cookbook and we are happy to announce that it’s finally available for presale. It’s scheduled to hit shelves December 9, 2025. I know this is pretty far in advance, but we need your help!
Our publishers decide the first print run based on the number of presales we get before June. So the more we sell before then, the bigger the print run and the more invested the publisher and distributors will be. We spent months and months on this book and, literally, put everything we had into it. If you like our content, we think you will love this book. It’s a combination of practical daily recipes alongside more complicated dishes.
Because of incredible subscribers like you we are already #1 in the Pet Food and Nutrition category on Amazon!
For our newsletter VIPs… here’s a small sneak peak at what’s inside! There will be OVER 100 beautiful photos in the book.

AND, here’s an excerpt from the beginning:
The recipes in this book are organized into the following sections: “Adult Maintenance Recipes,” “Special Diets,” and “Meals for Foodie Pups.” Our recipes range from simple and quick to gourmet dishes that give you a chance to practice your culinary skills.
Adult Maintenance Recipes
As the title of this section suggests, these are recipes intended to feed a healthy adult dog. We’ve divided this section into three categories: Basics, Balanced Meals, and Supermeals.
Basics: These recipes are made from six ingredients or less, all readily available from the supermarket. Although each recipe is not 100 percent balanced, they contain every essential nutrient required by dogs, but some in lower amounts than AAFCO recommends. Adult dogs can be fed these recipes for weeks at a time without any major issue (though it’s not recommended). These recipes are a great way to get started, and after you’ve worked your way up to more complex fare, they can still be used as quick meals when you’re in a pinch and need something to feed your dog.
Balanced Meals: These recipes are fully balanced to better than AAFCO standards. We incorporate fish for omega-3s and vitamin D, sea kelp for iodine, sunflower seeds for vitamin E, and oyster powder for zinc, copper, and selenium. Most of these recipes use eight ingredients or less and include grain-free and allergy-friendly options in the event that your dog has sensitivities or is one of the rare pups with allergies.
Supermeals: In this section we add more depth to your pup’s palate by including a variety of fruits, grains, and veggies. We also explore more exotic proteins like duck and venison. You’ll often see wheat germ listed as an ingredient; not only is it super nutritious, but it’s a great alternative to sunflower seeds for vitamin E. Supermeals are high in essential nutrients and serve as a way to cultivate a more adventurous pup palate.
Choose Your Own Canine Culinary Adventure
Whether you’re just getting started or have been cooking for your pups for years, we think there’s something for you in The Dog’s Table. (After reading this book, you may not even need recipes at all and may feel comfortable formulating your own dog food. See “Dogs Need Micronutrients,” to be sure they’re getting what they need.)
Special Diets
This section offers recipes for dogs at different points of their lives and with different nutritional needs.
Puppies and Mothers: Expectant mothers need slightly different nutrients based on the stage of gestation. The same is true for puppies. There are even differences between small- and large-breed puppies. We do our best to account for these differences and include different formulations for them. We add bonemeal and a little salt to account for the increased need for phosphorus and sodium. Every one of these formulations has added fish for growing brains and nervous systems.
Senior Dogs: Older dogs have slightly different dietary requirements than prime-age dogs. For these recipes we increase protein slightly while also reducing carbohydrates.
Athletes and Working Dogs: Depending on the type of activity that dogs are engaged in, their diets will need drastically different formulations for optimal performance. Working dogs with constant low-to-mid-level output perform best on ultra-low-carbohydrate diets. Racing dogs, however, perform worse with similar diets and instead require more carbohydrates, with less protein and less fat.
Weight Loss: The literature suggests that low-carb, high-protein, high-fiber diets are best for weight loss. The recipes in this section also include psyllium husk to increase fiber content without adding any additional carbs from vegetables.
Meals for Foodie Pups
The last section of this book explores some of the fun dishes and treats you see on our channel. These dishes are created not with balance or everyday feeding in mind but rather as an experience for you to enjoy with your pups and family. These recipes are intended to be fun meals for special occasions, and treats for occasional feeding. That’s not to say that they have no health benefit: the recipes still call for wonderful whole-food ingredients. Plus, dogs love to smell and eat, so providing a sensory food experience for them enriches their lives.
